Hotels in three different areas [NEW YORK]

OUTER BEAUTY
Some cities are always on my mind, as I told you before. New York is, as for many of you, such a city. I haven´t been there in the autumn though, which I very much hope to do in the nearest future. New York is also such a great hotel city with alternatives for everybody. Maybe most important is to decide in which part of the town you want to stay and which budget you are willing to spend. Sometimes a less expensive hotel can be good for the shopping:)

The iconic Waldorf Astoria, which I was lucky to stay at with my family for my 40th birthday
A very traditional style at the Waldorf in NYC
This design hotel, The Surrey, located on the Upper East Side is on my list
Gorgeous lobby at The Surrey with a huge fashion photo of Kate Moss
The bar at The Surrey
Great city location
The Best Western Plus President boutique hotel is newly renovated

We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria last year which was absolutely amazing, and this was actually a very child friendly hotel with great staff. The location is midtown, which is in convenient walking distance to great shopping. If you´re new to New York and want to experience the pulse, a good location could be Times Square, where Best Western Plus President Hotel recently was renovated to a boutique hotel. From there you have Rockefeller Center and Empire state building in walking distance. Located on the Upper East Side is hip and trendy design hotel The Surrey. This hotel has a magnificent roof top terrace, perfect for sipping cocktails and taking in the breathtaking city that never sleeps...

  1. Stannade också på Waldorf när jag o mannen var där. Gillade lobbyn och de gemensamma utrymmena. Personalen fantastisk. Starbucks i källaren. Me like. Men rummen var slitna och då hade vi ändå valt ett rum i den högre prisklassen. Surrey är mitt nästa val. Åh vad jag vill dit

  2. I will keep these recommendations in mind. People ask me for hotels in NYC since I live in Brooklyn but of course, why would I know any, I live here! My brother liked the Belvedere Hotel and also the Dream, when he came with a big group of friends. Great post. It reminds me that I need to go to the Waldorf-Astoria one of these days just for a drink! XO, Jill

  4. Great suggestions Caroline. We adore a NYC city getaway ourselves. For a family vacation I would recommend the Hyatt Grand Central Station. We stayed there with family ages 13 to 78 several years ago and it was the most convenient spot-as well as nicely updated. Scott and I liked the Hudson on a recent visit.
The Waldorf must have been smashing-lucky lady!

  5. These are all excellent suggestions, Caroline. I also love The London NYC because it is all suites for the price of a room, especially good if you are traveling with a family. And for over the top luxe, the Ritz Carlton Central Park is tdf.

    Have a great weekend! xoxo

  6. Aaaah!
