Pressure, confidence and being good enough [According to...]

OUTER BEAUTY
You have to be smart and successful and a good mother and beautiful and young and skinny forever. It’s a lot of pressure." Insightful words from one of the most famous and beautiful actresses, who decided that being the best she can is good enough.

On gaining 50 pounds during pregnancy
“I gained so much weight, I got an opportunity to see myself completely disfigured in many different ways — for a very good reason — and I don’t regret it for a second." This became a source of inspiration for Salma Hayek, who says that she finally began to appreciate and really love her body after that. "The things that I used to criticize, they were not that bad after all.”

On the constant pressure on women of today
“We’ve got to fight for our confidence every day in modern life because we live in a society that is very harsh to women. So I think we have to take a deep breath and just enjoy ourselves and say, ‘I’m going to be the best that I can be, and that’s more than enough."

Being 46 and making it her best year yet
"I believe that change keeps you young. I'm a late bloomer; I always have been. A lot of women think that this is the [age] when you start getting depressed. To that I say, 'No, no, no, no, no!' I'm having the best time of my life."
