Fab at 40 - Elizabeth Hurley

OUTER BEAUTY
The beautiful Elizabeth Hurley is more stunning than ever, being 47 years old. Of course we want to know her beauty secrets. One of my top products on the shelf is Advanced Night Repair from Estée Lauder. Nothing would ever come between me and my Advanced Night Repair but it´s very motivating to hear that this happens to be Ms Hurleys all time favourite as well. Elizabeth Hurley had a talk with Harpers Bazaar about her beauty routines. From that I can conclude 1) keep going with that serum, that scientist may be right... 2) totally believe in keeping hydrated, invest in a facial spray for daily use, pronto 3) start using olive oil in hair, which I´ve been thinking about for years but never tried 4) being a frequent bather, start using the time waiting for the water doing stomach excerzises, it´s genius (and no excuses).

Here are some of the gems from Elizabeth Hurley as told to Harpers Bazaar (UK Oct 2012):

"If I had to choose any Estee Lauder product, ever, I’d have to choose the Advanced Night Repair – it’s a phenomenal cream. When I joined the company there was a wonderful scientist who used to work in the development in Paris called Daniel Mays and the first thing he said to me was, "never stop using Advanced Night Repair, you’ll never regret it" - so I haven’t stopped using it, and it is wonderful.!
Is that your skin care secret?
Yes, for keeping my skin looking moist and dewy is the most important part of my beauty routine. It’s very gloopy and if you’re dehydrated it is the best thing for your skin.
What other products do you use?
Throughout the day I use Creme de la Mer’s Facial Spray, I squirt it on frequently and it’s really hydrating.
What’s the best beauty tip anyone has ever given you?
My grandmother had beautiful skin and she believed that fresh air was imperative. I never sleep with the heating on in my room and always have the window wide open-even if it’s snowing.
What’s your secret to having fabulous hair?
I use Aveda and Origins hair products, which smell gorgeous. Also, I trust them to use good ingredients. Every few months I mix up a terrible potion of thick conditioner and olive oil and sleep with it in my hair.
What is your weekly fitness routine?
I walk every day with my dogs and force myself to run a bit, but I hate it. I am extremely active though, have a lot of nervous energy and don’t sit still much. I do stomach and bottom exercises whilst I wait for my bath to fill every night.
